Kaththi without Ilayathalapathy !!!

The shoot for Kaththi is currently happening in Chennai, as reported earlier. This schedule apparently doesn’t require the presence of Vijay and the team is shooting the sequences involving other supporting actors, we hear.
As for as Ilayathalapathy, he has a schedule pending in Chennai, which will span for 10 or 15 days. Meanwhile, the team is looking to wrap things up (including foreign song sequences) by the end of August, so that they’ll have time for post-production before releasing it on the Diwali day.
Starring Vijay, Samantha, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Satish and others, the film is a Murugadoss directorial, with George C William’s cinematography and Anirudh’s scores. 

Reason Why Anjaan Grand Audio Launch Cancelled ???

The makers of Surya's Anjaan had earlier announced that the film's audio launch will happen in a grand manner on 22nd of July to celebrate Surya's birthday which falls on 23rd July. Dhananjayan Govind announced that the audio launch would take place at Chennai Trade Centre and Kamal Haasan,Puneet Rajkumar would be chief guest for the launch.


Unfortunately Dhananjayan yesterday tweeted that the Grand Audio launch was cancelled and the music Cd's would be straight to the stores. Here are the tweets made by him

Samantha is a part of two biggies – Suriya starrer Anjaan, and Kaththi, with Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Anjaan is directed by Lingusamy, and Kaththi will be an AR Murugadoss directorial.

"I have always wanted to work with Lingusamy, as he is a master of commercial cinema. I have always admired his etching of female characters. Meera Jasmine’s role in Sandakozhi  is an example of the sassiness his heroines come with"

''Gautham Menon taught me to do nothing'' - Samantha !!!

Samantha never loses a chance to thank director Gautham Menon for making her career. It was Gautham's Ye Maaya Chesave, the Telugu version of STR – Trisha starrer Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, that catapulted her to fame.
 

In a recent interview, she talked about how Gautham had taught her feel comfortable even when she did not have lines to deliver. She said, “We are always taught to act in front of the camera. We are never told how important it is sometimes to do nothing and yet, appear natural. I notice many actors who are uncomfortable doing nothing. Gautham taught me to be comfortable even if I didn’t have a single line in a long scene.”
 

It is to be noted that Samantha was seen in Gautham Menon's Neethane En Ponvasantham, that had Jiiva playing the male lead.

When Suriya says it on the silver screen, thunderous response can hardly make us listen to this punch dialogue from Anjaan.

Suriya starrer Anjaan gets bigger with every passing day. With the teaser of the movie, directed by Lingusamy, to be released on the 5th of July, Sony Music South has acquired the audio rights of the movie. They, in their twitter page, said, “We are proud to be associated with Suriya, Samantha starrer Anjaan in Yuvan Shankar Raja's music. Audio coming soon!”
 

The Audio launch is scheduled to happen on the 17th of this month. Santhosh Sivan cranks the camera for this biggie, which will release on this year’s Independence Day.

Sony Music South's other recent big acquisitions include Maan Karate, Kochadaiiyaan, Arrambam and Thalaivaa. All these albums turned out to be big hits and Anjaan is expected to follow suit.

Anjaan audio launch on July 17 !!!

Jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Thirupathi Brothers, Anjaan is directed by Lingusamy and has Samantha Ruth Prabhu sharing screen space with Surya for the first time. The expectations are skyrocketing already thanks to the the timely promotional activities from the makers. The audio launch for the film is scheduled on July 17th and the details about the venue and chief guests are expected today evening. The official first-look teaser of the film will be unveiled in Vijay Awards on July 5th and will be available on YouTube the same night by 10 PM. Madhan Karky’s opening song ‘Bang Bang Bang’ is highly anticipated by Surya’s ardent fans. Anjaan also marks Yuvan’s first big film this year. Vanavarayan Vallavarayan, his sole album to have released this year received lukewarm response from music buffs and his fans are eagerly waiting for Anjaan to provide the much-needed breakthrough for Yuvan.

Ace Director A.R.Murugadoss in a recent interview revealed how awestruck Vijay was with the Kaththi story. The duo who already given an monster hit in Thupakki have reunited for Kaththi which will be the Biggest film of Vijay's career.

Now in a recent interview A.R.Murugadoss revealed that soon after narrating the entire Kaththi story to Vijay he got a text message from him which read "SUPERNA". What makes it even more intresting is that A.R.M revealed that he did not get such a response even while narrating the story of Thupakki.

''I didn't get such a reaction from Vijay even during Thuppakki''

A.R.Murugadoss is the man of the moment after the superhit success of Holiday and the first look teaser release of Kaththi. The director is known all around the country and commands a huge fan following on his own. He invariably associates with big superstars and all his movie releases turn out to be events in themselves. In a recent interview, the director spoke in detail about Kaththi and Ilayathalapathy Vijay

 

"The title Kaththi will be justified and will be relevant to the story. We didn't just casually name the movie. 

 

Vijay plays dual roles in the movie - Kathiresan and Jeevanantham. They aren't a father-son pair. Samantha plays a lively character named Ankita.

 

The movie is majorly set in Chennai and isn't a gangster flick as speculated. After a complete story narration to Vijay, he messaged me "Superna". I didn't get such a reaction from him even during Thuppakki. Kaththi is surely a different attempt for Vijay."

The first look posters and teaser of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Kaththi were released as a birthday special on June 22, to all the hardcore fans of the star. Ever since their release, they have been the talk of the town, with the internet particularly buzzing with myriad feedback and opinions.

Given Vijay's huge pull in the social media, the teaser of Kaththi has already crossed the magical half million mark in YouTube and after just 2 days, it has registered 546,457 hits with more than 13100 likes.

The trailers and teasers of all recent Vijay films have posted such big numbers in the YouTube space and Kaththi can be expected to cross more milestones in the coming days. Kaththi's numbers only reiterate Vijay's 'mass' and star power! 

150 Crore Mark for Surya's Anjaan !!!

Surya's Anjaan much expected Trailer will be out on 5th July, But the latest buzz onthe film is that the makers are expecting the film to be the first Tamil movie to gross 150 crores worldwide in Year 2014. Director Linguswamy after rather disappointing outing in Vettai has worked 2 years to bring this film to life, Actor Surya was alsocommitted to the film to the extent that he did not sign nor act in any-other film until it's completion.  

The Film is reportdely being made at a budget of 70 crores and the film will simultaneously release in both Tamil and Telugu. Linguswamy was also very confident in saying that this film would do for Surya what Billa and Thuppakki did for Ajith and Vijay.

Why was Anjaan Teaser Postponed Again ???

Anjaan teaser is definitely the most expected teaser currently in K'Town, Fans and critics are waiting with bated breath after the stunning first look stills of Surya in the film. The teaser which was slated for release yesterday 12th June 2014 was however postponed.

According to Sources, The reason for the sudden postponement was that the Director Lingusamy wanted to add on few extra shots of the duet that there are currently shooting in Goa and hence the delay. This dual action Surya starrer is slated for release on August 15th.
