Trisha joins Gautham camp for 'Thala 55' !!!

Trisha has finally joined the sets of most anticipated movie of Ajith's career which is yet to named officially. This couple has comeback for the fourth time. They have already romanced on screen in, 'Ji', 'Kireedam', and 'Mankatha'. The role of Trisha is going to be very important and the details are kept as top secret. The team took a short break and resumed the shooting in Chennai. This schedule will be a month long and expected to cover most part of the film. If everything goes as planned the movie will be completed by September and might hit the screens in November. Arun Vijay has been confirmed as the main villain and Anushka will be joining the team pretty soon to complete her part. Harris Jayaraj has re-united with Gautham to score mesmerizing tunes once again.

Thala 55 Will Surely Rock Guarantees This Actor !!!

Actor Arun Vijay has been struggling to cement his place in Kollywood but his Thadaiyara Thaakka performed very well at the box office and now his career is at an all time high as he plays the baddie in Thala Ajith's Sathya(tentative title) directed by Gautham Menon.

Thala Impresses both the Second Generations of Superstar & Ulaganayagan !!!

The Thala of Kollywood has apparently impressed both the second generations of Superstar and Ulaganayagan. It's known that Soundarya Rajinikanth in a recent interview named Ajith as the one actor she would like to act with and added that she admired Thala a lot and said "I admire Ajith sir a lot, he is someone I look up too and i love to learn with him and share his vision."
Now the latest to follow suit is Ulaganayagan's daughter Shruti Haasan who held a recent Q&A with her twitter fans, When one of her fans quizzed about her Ajith her reply was just one word "Awesome", Here is the twitter conversation.

'Thala 55' - A 'Royal' treat awaits Ajith fans !!!

When the industry and Ajith fans are riding high on 'Thala 55', our beloved Thala is said to ride a Bullet in the untitled Gautham Vasudev Menon project which is under production. Possible sights of the most righteous man in the industry throttling the most royal among bikes can be mistaken for a normal biker around the ECR circles.
Ajith's love and affinity for bikes go back to his mechanic days. He knows what happens when the clutch is released and he knows this eternal feeling of riding a bike like Bullet (made like a gun). Still with the annoyingly long waiting periods, bullet enthusiasts wait for the day to sit on the mean machine. Royal Enfield sales are bound to skyrocket after the movie's release.

From Paramasivan to Mankatha to Arrambam, Ajith was seen riding some high-powered super bikes. But 'Thala 55' will have the racer galloping on one of the most sophisticated engineering marvels, with green skins and plated 8136. Gautham's visual imagery should position both the bike and Ajith at par.

What the hero rides also embellishes his character in the movie. Wait for a rugged, strong, firm, mass and class Ajith - Bullet combo. How different will it be from Vijay's Sachien bullet?

'Thala 56' - The buzz begins !!!

Ajith generally repeats his directors if he is really impressed with their work. Directors like Vishnuvardhan and Saran have worked on multiple films with Thala and have also met with success invariably. Now, the director of Veeram, Siva is also in this 'repeat' league as reported earlier and he would be helming 'Thala 56'.
The shooting of this film would begin in November this year, after Ajith completes 'Thala 55' (by Gautham). He is also reportedly expected to undergo a surgery before he starts work on 'Thala 56'.

Other details related to the cast and crew are being worked out and the production house is expected to make things official in the coming months. Stay tuned

A milestone unites Mankatha and Suriya's Masss !!!

The upcoming Suriya - Venkat Prabhu film has been titled 'Masss' as reported already. It was earlier touted to be titled 'Poochandi' but 'Masss' is the latest mantra for the team and also for the scores of Suriya fans.
The shoot of the film will begin in the 2nd week of July. An interesting aspect of this film is that it would be editor Praveen KL's 50th film. Praveen has been a constant in all of Venkat Prabhu's films till date and it is fitting that his landmark movie is again set to be with Venkat Prabhu.

Venkat Prabhu's earlier films have already turned out to be important milestones for the likes of Thala Ajith (Mankatha being his 50th) and Yuvan (Biriyani being his 100th). Now Praveen also joins this select league.

Masss also has the likes of Nayanthara, Amy Jackson in the cast, with Yuvan, Praveen and R.D.Rajasekhar forming the main technical crew.

Kochadaiiyaan and Veeram grab the top spots !!!

The first 6 months of the year 2014 have passed by, and the year has seen a fair share of hits and misses. There have been a sizeable number of films featuring superstars which have earned the big bucks, and also content-oriented films which haven't done much harm to their small investments.

 

In the USA, a market which is dominated by films featuring the big Tamil superstars (Rajini, Kamal, Vijay, Ajith, Suriya and Vikram) and also big directors like Shankar, films like Kochadaiiyaan, Veeram and Jilla have done well in the first half of the year.

Vijay, Ajith, Rajini, Siva Karthikeyan and now Suriya !!!

Suriya starrer Anjaan gets bigger with every passing day. With the teaser of the movie, directed by Lingusamy, to be released on the 5th of July, Sony Music South has acquired the audio rights of the movie. They, in their twitter page, said, “We are proud to be associated with Suriya, Samantha starrer Anjaan in Yuvan Shankar Raja's music. Audio coming soon!”
 

The Audio launch is scheduled to happen on the 17th of this month. Santhosh Sivan cranks the camera for this biggie, which will release on this year’s Independence Day.

Sony Music South's other recent big acquisitions include Maan Karate, Kochadaiiyaan, Arrambam and Thalaivaa. All these albums turned out to be big hits and Anjaan is expected to follow suit.

It's all in Thala's hands !!!

Ajith is said to be playing the character of a cop, named Sathya Dev, in 'Thala 55' helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film's shoots are happening in full flow in Chennai and the team also visited Malaysia for a little while.

In the stills that have been circulated till date, we see a steel bracelet which Ajith rightfully wears on his right hand. Ajith, known for his fashion statements since his Amarkalam days, had this scorpion-like chain in Dheena and a ring within a chain in Mankatha. Now this latest prop is sure to be seen in all fancy stores.

Gautham's lead protagonists generally tend to fascinate the wearing of such arm bands made of steel, symbolizing their strength and valour. This particular wrist accessory seems to be specially made for the movie, and we are sure that Thala fans would take to it in a big way.

Rajini recommends Ajith to Shankar for Enthiran 2 !!!

Reports say that superstar Rajinikanth has recommended AjithKumar’s name to Shankarto be cast in Enthiran II, the planned sequel by Shankar and Rajinikanth after their super-successful Enthiran: The Robot which sent cash registers ringing in theatres all over the globe where it was screened. The sequel is said to be planned to be made at an all-time high expense of Rs.200 crores. Shankar, who had prepared the script and screenplay of the sequel, is said to have shown the same to Rajini during the on-going shoot of Lingaa and got his consent to star in it. However, Rajini’s doctors say that Rajini should be extremely careful and avoid ‘high-risk’ action sequences and extremely hard-work. Rajini would be completing the shoot of Lingaa by August and it was expected that he and Shankar would commence the shoot of Enthiran II long before the year 2014 draws to a close.

Anjaan look for Thala 55 !!!

We’d earlier reported that Arun Vijay was going through a slight makeover change for the upcoming Gautham Menon- Ajith project. A recent photo of him that is being circulated now on various social networks has revealed his look for Thala 55. He will carry a look similar to that of Anjaan Suriya.
 

Although Thala Ajith’s one look has been revealed, the second look is still kept a secret. Gautham Menon recently hinted that the other look will stun his fans.

Gautham Menon rules out Ajith 55 - 'Kaththi' clash !!!

The announcement about Vijay's second film with A.R.Murugadoss and Ajith's maiden association with Gautham Menon came around the same time. Both the film are currently progressing at various stages of production. This has made fans eagerly await another box office clash of the stalwarts. However Gautham has clarified in a recent interview that his yet to be titled film with Ajith will not be clashing with 'Kaththi' which is Vijay's 57th film that is being directed by Murugadoss. Gautham has further revealed that he intends to wrap up Ajith's 55th film in September and the film will be releasing only after 'Kaththi'. 'Kaththi' is scheduled to release on the Deepavali day that falls on October 23, 2014. Sources reveal that Ajith-Gautham film may release in November.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay Declared The Next Superstar !!!

The popular Tamil Weekly Kumudam recently conducted a poll to decide the NextSuperstar of Kollywood, There were 8 contenders Vijay, Ajith, Surya, Vikram, STR, Dhanush, Arya and Jiiva. After a mammoth 35 Lakh Votes were registered through website, Postal and through their magazines Ilayathalapathy Vijay was declared theNext Superstar.

Vijay captured the first place bagging 12,80,300 votes, While Thala Ajith came in second with 12,17,650. Surya was a distant third with 5,47,050 votes. Dhanush secured Fourth while Vikram came 5th and STR, Arya and Jiiva secured 6th,7th and 8th position respectively.

Mankatha 2 with Thala & Thalapathy !!!

Time and again we have heard reports and quotes that Mankatha 2 will arrive soon, Director Venkat Prabhu in a press meet of Biriyani was also quoted saying "I am ready for Mankatha 2 but Ajith Sir is busy next year and in case all works out, we have to have a producer".

Now the latest is that Producer J Anbazhagan who earlier produced Aadhi Bhagavanhas expressed his desire to produce Mankatha 2 with both Ajith and Vijay playing the lead roles. He went on to add that Mankantha 2 would be the ideal film for Thala Thalapathy to act together. Here is his tweet

Ajith to play a 20-year youth in Gautham Menon’s Sathya !!!

Kumar’s dual roles in ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon’s upcoming film, which has finally been titled as Sathya, would be that of a 20-year old youth. Though Menon hasn’t conveyed this officially to newsmen, he has thrown ample hints about it during the course of one of his recent interviews. Ajith plays the roles of Sathyadev, a honest and upright cop and a 20-year old youth. The film’s shoot has been going in Malaysia at present. Anushkaand Trishaplay the twin heroines in the film. In order to look convincingly enough as a 20-year old, Ajith is said to have not only shed his paunch but also has become stronger and trimmer. The other role of the cop would invariably portray Ajith in his now-famous salt-n-pepper looks. Menon said in his interview that he planned to make a series of films, with the same character essaying the central role, on the lines of Hollywood films. Though the idea is tempting indeed, one can’t say with conviction that Ajith would be having his call-sheets vacant for Menon to shoot non-stop!

Samantha and Thala !!!

Samantha is all set to pair up with Thala. It is being rumoured that Samantha will play the lead in Ajith’s next which is expected to be directed by Siruthai Siva. Rana Daggubati's name has also been linked with the project.

Ace Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has spilled out some beans on the much anticipated Thala 55 in a recent interview. The Stylish director talked about the film's biggest surprise, He said  “We haven't disclosed Ajith’s new look yet, His makeover will be the movie’s biggest highlight and surprise.”

GVM also revealed three condition which Ajith had for him before the film began.

It's Official Now : A.R.Murugadoss Next Movie is ???

Ace Director A.R.Murugadoss next after Kaththi was one of the debated project in the industry, There were numerous rumors that his next film could be a straight Telugu flick, There were also reports that A.R.M could reunite with Thala for his next after the director himself revealed that  "It's not a sentiment. Sometimes the actors come back to me after a successful film and at times I go back to them if I have a suitable story. It has always been like that. I have also worked with Ajith in the past and I plan to collaborate again in future."

 The director of Kochadaiiyaan, the beautiful Soundarya Ashwin was recently a part of a popular TV chat show, and she was put through the typical grind of interesting questions from both her personal and professional lives.

When she was asked about the star with whom she would consider making her acting début, Soundarya first said that acting was just a hypothetical option for her but soon came up with Ajith's name.
