Actor Arun Vijay has been struggling to cement his place in Kollywood but his Thadaiyara Thaakka performed very well at the box office and now his career is at an all time high as he plays the baddie in Thala Ajith's Sathya(tentative title) directed by Gautham Menon.

'Thala 55' - A 'Royal' treat awaits Ajith fans !!!

When the industry and Ajith fans are riding high on 'Thala 55', our beloved Thala is said to ride a Bullet in the untitled Gautham Vasudev Menon project which is under production. Possible sights of the most righteous man in the industry throttling the most royal among bikes can be mistaken for a normal biker around the ECR circles.
Ajith's love and affinity for bikes go back to his mechanic days. He knows what happens when the clutch is released and he knows this eternal feeling of riding a bike like Bullet (made like a gun). Still with the annoyingly long waiting periods, bullet enthusiasts wait for the day to sit on the mean machine. Royal Enfield sales are bound to skyrocket after the movie's release.

From Paramasivan to Mankatha to Arrambam, Ajith was seen riding some high-powered super bikes. But 'Thala 55' will have the racer galloping on one of the most sophisticated engineering marvels, with green skins and plated 8136. Gautham's visual imagery should position both the bike and Ajith at par.

''Gautham Menon taught me to do nothing'' - Samantha !!!

Samantha never loses a chance to thank director Gautham Menon for making her career. It was Gautham's Ye Maaya Chesave, the Telugu version of STR – Trisha starrer Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, that catapulted her to fame.
 

In a recent interview, she talked about how Gautham had taught her feel comfortable even when she did not have lines to deliver. She said, “We are always taught to act in front of the camera. We are never told how important it is sometimes to do nothing and yet, appear natural. I notice many actors who are uncomfortable doing nothing. Gautham taught me to be comfortable even if I didn’t have a single line in a long scene.”
 

It is to be noted that Samantha was seen in Gautham Menon's Neethane En Ponvasantham, that had Jiiva playing the male lead.

'Thala 56' - The buzz begins !!!

Ajith generally repeats his directors if he is really impressed with their work. Directors like Vishnuvardhan and Saran have worked on multiple films with Thala and have also met with success invariably. Now, the director of Veeram, Siva is also in this 'repeat' league as reported earlier and he would be helming 'Thala 56'.
The shooting of this film would begin in November this year, after Ajith completes 'Thala 55' (by Gautham). He is also reportedly expected to undergo a surgery before he starts work on 'Thala 56'.

Ajith is said to be playing the character of a cop, named Sathya Dev, in 'Thala 55' helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon. The film's shoots are happening in full flow in Chennai and the team also visited Malaysia for a little while.

In the stills that have been circulated till date, we see a steel bracelet which Ajith rightfully wears on his right hand. Ajith, known for his fashion statements since his Amarkalam days, had this scorpion-like chain in Dheena and a ring within a chain in Mankatha. Now this latest prop is sure to be seen in all fancy stores.

Gautham's lead protagonists generally tend to fascinate the wearing of such arm bands made of steel, symbolizing their strength and valour. This particular wrist accessory seems to be specially made for the movie, and we are sure that Thala fans would take to it in a big way.

Anjaan look for Thala 55 !!!

We’d earlier reported that Arun Vijay was going through a slight makeover change for the upcoming Gautham Menon- Ajith project. A recent photo of him that is being circulated now on various social networks has revealed his look for Thala 55. He will carry a look similar to that of Anjaan Suriya.
 

Although Thala Ajith’s one look has been revealed, the second look is still kept a secret. Gautham Menon recently hinted that the other look will stun his fans.

Gautham Menon rules out Ajith 55 - 'Kaththi' clash !!!

The announcement about Vijay's second film with A.R.Murugadoss and Ajith's maiden association with Gautham Menon came around the same time. Both the film are currently progressing at various stages of production. This has made fans eagerly await another box office clash of the stalwarts. However Gautham has clarified in a recent interview that his yet to be titled film with Ajith will not be clashing with 'Kaththi' which is Vijay's 57th film that is being directed by Murugadoss. Gautham has further revealed that he intends to wrap up Ajith's 55th film in September and the film will be releasing only after 'Kaththi'. 'Kaththi' is scheduled to release on the Deepavali day that falls on October 23, 2014. Sources reveal that Ajith-Gautham film may release in November.

Ajith to play a 20-year youth in Gautham Menon’s Sathya !!!

Kumar’s dual roles in ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon’s upcoming film, which has finally been titled as Sathya, would be that of a 20-year old youth. Though Menon hasn’t conveyed this officially to newsmen, he has thrown ample hints about it during the course of one of his recent interviews. Ajith plays the roles of Sathyadev, a honest and upright cop and a 20-year old youth. The film’s shoot has been going in Malaysia at present. Anushkaand Trishaplay the twin heroines in the film. In order to look convincingly enough as a 20-year old, Ajith is said to have not only shed his paunch but also has become stronger and trimmer. The other role of the cop would invariably portray Ajith in his now-famous salt-n-pepper looks. Menon said in his interview that he planned to make a series of films, with the same character essaying the central role, on the lines of Hollywood films. Though the idea is tempting indeed, one can’t say with conviction that Ajith would be having his call-sheets vacant for Menon to shoot non-stop!

Thala's 3 Conditions to GVM for Thala 55 !!!

Ace Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has spilled out some beans on the much anticipated Thala 55 in a recent interview. The Stylish director talked about the film's biggest surprise, He said  “We haven't disclosed Ajith’s new look yet, His makeover will be the movie’s biggest highlight and surprise.”

GVM also revealed three condition which Ajith had for him before the film began.

STR answers if Sattendru Marathu Vaanilai is Dropped ???

There was huge buzz going around in K'Town that STR's Sattendru Marathu Vaanilai  was shelved due to Gautham Menon's film with Thala. STR has thrashed those rumors clarifying "My project with Gautham is very much on. We started shooting and had to stop because Gautham had a commitment with Ajith that came and he had to complete it. Therefore, we've put on shooting on hold and as soon as we are good to go, we'll start filming again."

Sattendru Marathu Vaanilai features STR and Debuntate Pallavi, This is the second film STR and GVM are collaborating after the magical Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya.

Thala Unhappy With Gautham ?

Thala Ajith is reportedly unhappy with Thala 55 director Gautham Menon over the handling of the film's shoot schedule. It was known that the film's shoot was stalled recently, Sources report that Anushka Shetty was the reason for this sudden delay and when Thala realized that Anushka has given dates to the film in bits and pieces the star actor apparently called up Gautham Menon and asked him to sort these date issue and warned him that it should not be repeated.

Anushka's date clashes are hindering the film severely as she currently has two ongoing Tollywood films in Rani Rudrama Devi, Baahubali and another magnum opus in Superstar's Lingaa which she is yet to shoot for.

Thala 55 by end of 2014 !!!

The first schedule of Thala 55, tentatively titled Sathya Dev is done and the next one will begin on the 14^th of May in Chennai. The team has planned to shoot the entire movie all around Chennai.

As far as music is concerned, for now, the team has decided on having four songs in the film. There are chances of more small montages coming into the project as it proceeds, considering Gautham’s love for such kind of songs that moves along with the story. The chances of shooting songs in foreign locations are also very unlikely, we hear.

If everything goes right as per plan, the film must be wrapped up by the end of 2014.

Will Gautham’s Jesse join Thala 55??

The news of another heroine in the Ajith – Gautham Menon film has been popping up frequently. The speculation was that Trisha might step up for the role. When contacted a close source, we were informed that Thala 55 is most likely to have Trisha on board. However, the talks are still on and Gautham’s Jesse hasn’t yet signed on the dotted line.

The first schedule that lasted for 12 days has been wrapped up in Chennai and the next one will start on 14^th May. As reported earlier, Ajith plays a strong cop named Sathya Dev and the film is also likely to carry the same title.

Gvm Calls Off Thala 55 Shooting !!!

Thala 55 Director Gautham Menon has reportdely taken a break from shooting schedule, Sources say the director is waiting for the grand set to be erected. The movie which has been reportedly titled as Sathya in tamil and Sathyadev in Telugu will resume from May 14th in Chennai again.

Sources say a song along with action sequences will be shot in this schedule, Meanwhile GVM and Harris Jayaraj are working on the tunes for the film. GVM earlier announced that the film would have a total of 6 songs.

Thala 55 with Gautham Menon is progressing at rapid pace, The director has someone managed to keep out the gossip mongers from gathering any information whatsoever regarding the movie. GVM who earlier clarified that the title was neither Aayiram Thottakal or Thudikuthu Pujam however hinted that the film's title might be named after Ajith's character name in the film.
