STR is no more a young Superstar ?

The Next Superstar title has created quite a controversy among fans and critics alike, Now the latest is that STR has decided to drop the Young Superstar title. A leading daily has just reported that STR will no longer use the prefix "Young Superstar" before his name. However there has been no official confirmation from STR yet.

STR's Vaalu which has been in making for quite sometime, is expected to hit the screens on August 15th. The trailer of the movie is expected to screened at Dhanush's Velai Illa Pattathari which releases on 18th July.

Simbu to come along with Dhanush's VIP !!!

With Velai Illa Pattadhari expected to release on 18^th July, the fans of Simbu also have reasons to celebrate with the fans of Dhanush. The trailer of Vaalu will be screened along with Velai Illa Pattadhari.

Talking about Vaalu’s trailer, the movie’s editor, Suresh said, “The dialogues will be a highlight in the trailer and fans will love it for sure. The trailer will be packed with actions and some exciting commercial elements. So, fans can expect a treat!”

Idhu Namma Aalu gets appreciation from Surya, Arya and Sasikumar......!!!

Director Pandiraj is directing a film titled Idhu Namma Aalu. After a long time Simbhuand Nayanthara are joining hands in this film. The final works connected with the film are going on. The trailer of the film is yet to be released. At this juncture, director Pandiraj has shown the trailer of Idhu Namma Aalu to Surya, Arya, Sasikumar, Santhanamand Suseenthiran. They have appreciated Pandiraj very much. Moreover Nayanthara who had also seen the trailer has appreciated Pandiraj by saying that she is thankful to the director for giving her such a good film. Nayanthara has donned the role called Myla. Pandiraj has mentioned that Simbhu’s role is called Shiva. Simbhu’s brother Kuralarasanis composing the music while Balasubramaniam is handling the camera.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay Declared The Next Superstar !!!

The popular Tamil Weekly Kumudam recently conducted a poll to decide the NextSuperstar of Kollywood, There were 8 contenders Vijay, Ajith, Surya, Vikram, STR, Dhanush, Arya and Jiiva. After a mammoth 35 Lakh Votes were registered through website, Postal and through their magazines Ilayathalapathy Vijay was declared theNext Superstar.

Vijay captured the first place bagging 12,80,300 votes, While Thala Ajith came in second with 12,17,650. Surya was a distant third with 5,47,050 votes. Dhanush secured Fourth while Vikram came 5th and STR, Arya and Jiiva secured 6th,7th and 8th position respectively.

Yuvan to croon for Idhu Namma Aalu !!!

Idhu Namma Aalu is directed by Pasanga director Pandiraj and stars STR and Nayantara in the lead roles. The team is right now camping at Kumbakonam, shooting some important scenes. The latest update is that the music director of the film, Kuralarasan has roped in composer Yuvanshankar Raja to render a song in the film. Kural added that Yuvan will be singing a love song which was exclusively made for him. Yuvan was last featured as a singer in Mariyaan ’s ‘Kadal Raasa Naan’ which went on to become one of the hit songs of the year. Will Yuvan recreate the same magic..??

Vaalu gets its release date !!!

The release date of much awaited comedy flick Vaalu has finally been confirmed. Silambarasan starrer Vaalu is all set to hit theatres on August 15. The film will also feature actress Hansika Motwani in lead role. Vijay Chander, who is making his directorial debut with this film, is excited about the mass climax song which portrays Simbu in three different avatars. The film also has Ganesh, Brahmanandam, Naren and Sri Ranjani in supporting roles. The shooting is almost complete and the post production works have been started. Simbu posted on his micro-blogging page, "Lot of super happy news on the way for fans :) including #Vaalu release date #INA first look teaser #loveanthem New projects and more ...." The movie is ready to compete with Surya starrer Anjaan which is expected to release on the same day. With two big movies on platter, audience will definitely have something special to watch on this Independence Day.

STR answers if Sattendru Marathu Vaanilai is Dropped ???

There was huge buzz going around in K'Town that STR's Sattendru Marathu Vaanilai  was shelved due to Gautham Menon's film with Thala. STR has thrashed those rumors clarifying "My project with Gautham is very much on. We started shooting and had to stop because Gautham had a commitment with Ajith that came and he had to complete it. Therefore, we've put on shooting on hold and as soon as we are good to go, we'll start filming again."

Sattendru Marathu Vaanilai features STR and Debuntate Pallavi, This is the second film STR and GVM are collaborating after the magical Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya.

Reason Why Hansika Skipped Trisha's Birthday Party ???

Trisha Birthday party was the biggest trend setter past week with the images from party being liked and shared in all forms of social media. Here is a current buzz which is going around regarding the birthday party, Hansika Motwani who was invited by Trisha for her birthday party reportedly choose to skip the event and this has fed the numerous gossip mongers new story.

According to sources  Trisha had invited every actor and actress she is close with and like Nayanthara and Amala Paul who were seen at the party, Hansika was also Trisha's very good friend and she skipped the event because of STR. 

The sources added that Hansika would have to greet STR if she had come to the birthday party and hence avoided the event altogether. The bubbly actress however did wish Trisha and here is what she had to say on twitter.

STR-Selvaraghavan Film Dropped ??

Selvaraghavan was all set to start his new film with STR and Trisha from April but the latest news is that the movie has been put on hold due to the director's previous film Irandam Ulagam. It's known that Selva's dream film Irandam Ulagam suffered a loss of more than 30 Crores to PVP Cinemas and hence the company have intervened and asked the director to settle the previous loss before commencing this film.

Varun Manian who is producing this Selvaraghavan's film has officially put the film on hold until the director sorts out his issue with PVP Cinemas. This sudden issue has raised a question if the movie will ever commence or not ?

''First, I have to be sure if marriage will work out for me''

Simbu has always been an enigma to fans and the media and his interviews and interactions have always been interesting, explosive and unique. In one such recent interaction, Simbu spoke about marriage, children and whether we can expect him to settle down soon.

 

"It sounds good to think about family and children but that is what everybody is doing. Till now, marriage plans haven't worked out for me. I first have to be sure if the institution of marriage will work out for me. I am in a transition phase now as I am getting into philosophy and philanthropy. I am not sure if I can force my future life partner with my ideologies and actions. 

 

Importantly, I enjoy my single status and I am able to do certain things which I can't do if am committed in a relationship. Marriage is not on the cards for now and I think I need some more time to think along those lines. In my current situation, marriage is definitely low on priority."

Simbu Becomes Puri !!

Young actor Mahat Ragavendra was first noticed in Venkat Prabhu’s Mankatha in which he played the role of a bar owner who was involved in the money racket along with Premji and Ashwin.  Later in the beginning of this year he played the role of Vijay’s younger brother in Jilla.

Now Mahat’s next film is interestingly titled Simbu in which the Vallavan hero is said to be making a cameo. When Simbu was asked about this, he jocularly states, "Although I had initial reservations on this, I let them use my name as title".

Simbu is being made in Telugu also with a more interesting title Puri Jagannath. Telugu audience would be quite aware that Puri Jagannath is a noted film director, producer who has made films like Pokkiri, Chirutha to name a few.

I Still Believe in Love Say's Hansika !!!

Actress Hansika is one of the most wanted heroine in K'Town with several filmmakers believing her to be the lucky charm of the industry. The cute actress who was earlier in a relationship with STR opened up in a recent interview to Deccan Chronicle on the break-up and the reasons for delay in Vaalu completion.  Here are the excerpts 

“Right now I am concentrating on my career, and I don't want to get into a relationship. But definitely, I still believe in love, and good things will always happen in my life."

“It’s(Vaalu) been getting delayed due to some minor issues. But the film has come out really well, especially the songs, as it has some very unique visual concepts which have never been attempted before in the industry.”

Young Super Star Simbu In A Recent Talk Show made a promise to make up to his fans for the lost time, The actor has the busiest year in all of Kollywood with Vaalu, Vettaimanan, Pandiraj's Idhu Namma Aalu, Gautham Menon's film and Selvaraghavan film with Trisha all lined in year 2014.

Now the latest buzz is that director Mysskin is all set to narrate a script to STR and if all goes well then STR might also have Mysskin film lined up later this year.  It's Worth mentioning that this STR-Mysskin project was earlier refuted as rumor but the re-emergence of The Buzz sparks a positive vibe that the project may indeed happen.

Simbu is one actor who is always known to speak his mind. He has been involved in some controversies too, due to his bold and daring image. Even recently, the handsome young star made a big splash in the media for the way he announced his break-up with actress Hansika. 

A few days back, on a prominent chat show in a private television channel, Simbu was again at it and had some really interesting and forthright comments to make about his life and career.

"Of late I am not liking the process of doing films. I wish to do something beyond cinema. When I was young, I wanted to grow into a huge star like Rajini Sir and intended to do a lot of films. But now that I have crossed 30, life seems different and my goals have changed. I don't wish to become a superstar anymore. I am not interested in competition and jealousy. The success or failure of my films won't impact me anymore.

Cinema is just a boundary and I don't wish to be restricted by that. Doing something for the world at large is what interests me now. 

I am not liking money too nowadays. Due to money, people are losing their humanity and their inherent goodness. Jealousy has also increased due to money and the society is deteriorating. There shouldn't be any money in this world."
