Expectedly unexpected title for Suriya-Venkat Prabhu !!!

Venkat Prabhu must have taken the requests from fans a bit tooliterally to coin a 'mass' title for his upcoming outing with Suriya. The popular director, in his usually nonchalant tongue in cheek sense of humour, has announced that the film will be called 'Masss' - A Venkat Prabhu Title.

 

Interestingly the idea doesnt appear to be a random selection as VP also revealed that Suriya will be "in and as" Masss, indicating that there might be a character connect with the title after all.

Now that Suriya is almost done with his commitments for Anjaan, the buzz on his next Venkat Prabhu film is slowly increasing. The film stars Nayanthara and Amy Jackson as Suriya's onscreen pairs and the technical crew comprises some solid names such as Yuvan Shankar Raja, RD Rajasekhar and Praveen KL.

 

We now have information from an authentic source that the film has been titled 'Poochandi'. This means that the film may have something to do with ghosts. Given Venkat Prabhu's knack for humour, we can expect generous doses of fun, in addition to the horror creeps.

 

We had earlier reported that this film is being targeted as a children's special and that it would have extensive VFX work. Looking at the title, it looks like a horror comedy, a genre which has traditionally appealed to children.

 

We reiterate that nothing is official yet about the title and we have to wait for a formal announcement from the team.

A special reunion in Suriya - Venkat Prabhu's next !!!

Suriya, who is currently busy with Lingusamy's Anjaan, will move on to his next film with director Venkat Prabhu in the beginning of June. Nayanthara and Amy Jackson would be his on-screen pairs in this film, also starring Premgi. Yuvan, R.D.Rajasekhar and Praveen form a strong technical crew and a lot is riding on this Studio Green production.

 

DoP R.D.Rajasekhar and Suriya share a special bond over the course of their respective careers. They worked in two landmark blockbuster movies, Kaakha Kaakha (2003) and Ghajini (2005), which did a whole lot of good to both their careers. The two have another common film in their resumes, Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006), which is a memorable film for Suriya from his personal life's perspective, as the film released just 3 days prior to his marriage with fiancée Jyothika, who was also his pair in the film.

 

With such a long history of positive vibes between the two, Suriya and RD must be looking forward to renew their working relationship in the Venkat Prabhu film, which happens to be Suriya's 31st in his illustrious career.

The Heroines For Surya In Venkat Prabhu Film Are ???

Actor Surya who is currently on vacation in United States will soon commence his 31st film with Venkat Prabhu. It's already known that actress Nayanthara will play the female lead in the film, Now reliable sources have reported that Brit model cum actress Amy Jackson has also been roped into the film. This Surya starrer will mark the fourth tamil film for Amy after Madrasapattinam, Thandavam and Ai.

Surya 31 will go on floors from second week of June, The film has Yuvan Shankar Raja music and will be produced by Studio Green.
